The Alexander County Tax office has extended the deadline to return business and personal property listing forms from January 31 to February 29. The mailing of the listing forms was delayed due to a printing problem. Those who haven’t received the form should receive it soon.
Only property owners who own personal property such as singlewide mobile homes, boats, farm equipment, etc. will receive listing forms. If you haven’t received your listing form or have questions, call the Tax Office at 828-632-4346.
The North Carolina Department of Revenue is now accepting 2023 income tax returns for Corporate Income and Franchise, Partnership, and Estates and Trusts. For taxpayers that file on a calendar year basis, returns are due on April 15.
