Alexander County School Switches To Remote Learning

Alexander County School Switches To Remote Learning

Effective today (January 12), Sugar Loaf Elementary School in Alexander County will begin remote instruction due to a staff shortage. This decision is based on 55% of core instructional staff being absent Tuesday (January 11). Remote learning will continue through January 17.

The administration will reevaluate over the weekend to determine if changes need to be made to the scheduled return on January 18. Additional information will be posted on the website and social media. Parents have been notified through the mass notification system of the remote instruction plans and may contact the school with any additional questions.
