Alexander County Man Free On Bond Jailed For Failing To Appear In Court

43-year-old Hermon Deweiricol Chambers of Hiddenite was arrested Monday (June 10) by authorities in Alexander County. He was charged with multiple counts of failure to appear.

Chambers was previously arrested on May 30 and charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of schedule III controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was released on bond and was scheduled to appear in Alexander County District Court. Chambers reportedly did not show up for the appearance, leading to a judge issuing an arrest warrant.

Chambers had a list of previous charges pending including felony possession of schedule I controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is also awaiting trial on charges of felony probation violation, felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle and resisting arrest.
