TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. (WACB) – 43-year-old Brandon Lee Thomas of Taylorsville Manufacturing Road in Taylorsville was arrested in Alexander County Monday (July 27). He was charged with felony probation violation then later found to be in possession of a reported .3 grams of methamphetamine while on jail premises. That resulted in the addition of a charge of felony possession of controlled substance on jail premises.

Thomas is on probation as a result of a conviction in September, 2024, in Alexander County for felony counts of larceny after breaking & entering, possession of schedule II controlled substance, and driving while license revoked. Following Monday’s arrest, Thomas was jailed in the Alexander County Detention Center under no bond. An August 3 court date is scheduled in Taylorsville.
