ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. (WHKY) – Deputies investigating a reported domestic situation in Alexander County arrested a 26-year-old man Friday morning. According to the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested Devon Shelton Farris of Country Land Lane in Vale Friday (September 25). During the arrest, deputies reportedly found Farris in possession of a controlled substance.

Farris was charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, identified as cocaine, misdemeanor assault on a female, and misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.

Farris is being held at the Alexander County Detention Center without bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Monday, (September 28).
