The Alexander County Board of Education voted to extend the mask mandate on school campuses at the regular meeting held Tuesday (September 14). All students, staff, and visitors will continue to be required to wear a face covering.
The board initially voted August 31 to require face coverings for all students and staff on all campuses. The mandate went into effect September 1. The item will be reviewed at each monthly Board of Education meeting.[WACB’s Rick Gilbert contributed to this story]
