Alexander Authorities Apprehend Man Wanted In Catawba County
27-year-old Alexander Day-Quan Carpenter of 20th Avenue Drive NE in Hickory was arrested Tuesday (February 7) by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers. He was wanted on charges from Catawba County. He’s charged in Catawba with indecent liberties with a child, larceny of a motor vehicle, assault on a female, and failure to appear on counts of communicating threats and misdemeanor larceny. The warrants are from 2021 and 2022.
Carpenter was taken into custody during a traffic stop conducted Tuesday by Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies. He was initially placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $88,000. He was transferred to the Catawba County Detention Facility today (February 8) where he was being held under $61,000 bond. District Court dates were scheduled today and for February 27.
