HICKORY, N.C. (WHKY) — A business operating at Hickory Regional Airport is expanding its footprint after receiving approval from Hickory City Council.

The Nest at HKY currently leases airport space for its aircraft-management and pilot operation.

City documents say growth in the business has created a need for additional space.

The company will lease another hangar at 2910 Second Avenue Northwest, including office, restroom and storage space.

The annual rent is $75,600, with a two-and-a-half-percent annual increase. The initial lease is for four years with an option for an additional five-year term.
