Additional Details Released In Connection To Incident In Which Woman Allegedly Shot Boyfriend

39-year-old Brandi Lee Floyd of White Eagle Ranch Road in Hickory was arrested Friday (October 6) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. She’s charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. WHKY first reported on this case Friday, more details have been released.

According to information provided to WHKY by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to a 911 hang-up at a residence on White Eagle Ranch Road in the Mountain View Community, Thursday (October 5) at 11:36 p.m. When deputies arrived they found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital where, as of the most recent information available, was reported to be in serious but stable condition.

Brandi Floyd, a resident of the White Eagle Ranch Road property, was arrested charged in connection to the incident. The motive for the alleged crime is believed to be connected to an argument between Floyd and the victim. Published reports stated that the victim is Floyd’s boyfriend. Following the arrest, Floyd was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility. She was initially incarcerated without bond. Bond was later set at $75,000 secured.

Floyd was not listed as an inmate in Catawba County as of earlier today (October 9). A District Court appearance was scheduled today.
