Burke Sheriff Looking for Counterfeiters

MORGANTON - Several counterfeit bills have recently been passed in Burke County according to authorities.  Bills of practically every denomination have been used across the area at over 20 different restaurants and some of the bogus bucks have made their way to Catawba County.  A McDonald's Restaurant employee noticed one fake bill this week and got a vehicle description and tag number.  Police have already confiscated a computer and printing equipment and are hoping to charge some one with the crime soon.  Counterfeiting is a Federal Offense and the same penalty applies if you counterfeit one dollar or one million dollars.  Police are still investigating this case.
