57-year-old Larry Allen Cole of 2228 Olde Well Road, Hudson, was arrested by Lenoir Police on March 2 and charged with one felony count of indecent liberties with a child.

The arrest stems from November 13, 2009 when Lenoir Police received a report that an adult male had taken indecent liberties with a child at Debbie’s Darlings Daycare, located at Cole’s Olde Well Road address in Hudson. 

Lenoir Police Investigators, in conjunction with the Caldwell County Department of Social Services and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Child Development, initiated an investigation.  As a result, the case was presented to the Grand Jury in Caldwell County on February 22, 2010.

The Grand Jury issued a single indictment on Larry Allen Cole, charging him with indecent liberties.  He was formally charged on March 2. 

Cole has been released on a $5,000.00 secured bond.  As a condition of his release, Cole is not to be on the premises during the daycare’s hours of operation.
