Carolina Select Volleyball's 15 team wins silver2/8/2010 2:23:27 PM
A season of success continued for the Carolina Select Volleyball Club, based in Hickory, as the 15's black team, competing in the platinum division, took the silver medal in regional play this past weekend at Carolina Courts in Indian Trail. The Select squad lost in the finals to United 15 Nationals in two games by a score of 25-13 and 25-20. This was the 15s' black first medal of the season.
The Carolina Select 12's team took home the silver medal in their division losing to IC Stars of Statesville in three games (25-16, 23-25, 15-2) in regional tournament play at the Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, NC. On the season the 12's have two gold medals and a silver in three regional tournaments.
So far on the season the Carolina Select Volleyball Club has seen it's teams capture four gold medals and five silver medals. This is only the second year of existence for the club.
