Hickory Woman Arrested for Felony Common Law Robbery 2/8/2010 1:03:49 PM
22-year-old Lashonda Evette Ikard of 449 1st Street SE, Hickory, was arrested just past midnight Saturday morning on an outstanding warrant for one felony count of common law robbery and misdemeanor counts of shoplifting, giving false information to an officer and driving while license revoked.
The October 2009 warrant dates back to an incident that took place on May 22, 2009 outside of Belks in the Valley Hills Mall. The suspect was in a vehicle and asked the victim for a pen, and then allegedly snatched the victim’s purse.
Ikard was taken before a magistrate at the Hickory Police Department where bond was set at $7,500, secured. She was transported to the Catawba Co. Detention Facility where she is scheduled to appear in District Court in Newton on February 12.
