37-year-old Anita Jean Robinson of 651 10th Avenue SW, Hickory, was arrested by Hickory Police just past midnight Sunday morning on felony counts of possession of firearms by a felon, possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to sell or distribute, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury, and misdemeanor counts of assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault, failure to appear, resisting, obstructing or delaying a public officer and seven counts of injury to personal property.

When the Officer attempted to handcuff Robinson, she struggled, resulting in the resisting an officer charge. All other charges stem from the outstanding warrants. After further investigation, more outstanding warrants were discovered, dating from 2007, 2008 and 2009. In all, Robinson was wanted on 14 outstanding warrants.
Bond on all charges has been set at $45,000, secured. Robinson has been confined at the Catawba County Detention Center where she awaits a first Superior Court appearance in Newton on February 12.
