Newton Man Arrested for Attempted Murder 2/8/2010 1:00:38 PM
26-year-old Remone Leon Robinson of 100 B Southwest Boulevard, Newton, was served an indictment by Hickory Police at 8 o’clock Friday morning on one felony count of attempted first degree murder and one felony count of discharging a firearm into occupied property. He also faces one misdemeanor charge of assault inflicting serious injury.
Robinson allegedly fired into an occupied vehicle on April 9, 2008. The shooting took place in the 1100 block of 2nd Street Place SE, Hickory. No one was injured. There was damage to the driver’s side window and the frame behind the driver’s seat belt. Robinson’s motives are not known.
Robinson was in custody on other charges and was just served the indictment for the shooting case.
No bond was set for the attempted murder charge. Bond is $115,000, secured, for the other charges. Robinson has been confined at the Catawba Co. Detention Center with a Superior Court date set for February 12 in Newton.
