30-year-old Brandy Nicole Conrad, who is listed as a homeless person from Taylorsville, 43-year-old Larry Michael Johnson, Jr. of 23rd Street N.W. in Hickory and 32-year-old Joel Scott Wimbish, Jr. of 2nd Street S.W. in Hickory were all arrested by Hickory Police yesterday (August 13) on multiple drug charges. The three were taken into custody after a motor vehicle chase.
They were all charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, trafficking in meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. Conrad was also charged on outstanding misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear on charges of simple possession of a schedule III controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wimbish faces additional felony charges for maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance and speeding to elude arrest in a motor vehicle. He was also charged on outstanding misdemeanor and felony warrants for failure to appear on a probation violation and failure to return a hired motor vehicle.
All three subjects have been confined in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility. Conrad was given a $114,000 secured bond. Johnson’s bond was set at $100,500, secured, while Wimbish was jailed under a $148,500 secured bond. First appearances in District Court were set for tomorrow in Newton.
