27-year-old Zachary Keith Price of Longfield Street in Claremont has been arrested by Iredell Co. Sheriff’s Officers on warrants out of Catawba County for felony larceny. Warrants were also issued in Iredell County for possession of stolen property.
On July 23, Deputies responded to reports of a larceny at a residence on the 300 block of Old Mocksville Road. The victim multiple items were stolen from the residence. The victim said that Zachary Price had stayed at his house on July 22. After Price left the next day, the victim noticed over $1,000 in property was missing from his house.
As Deputies were taking the report from the victim, Price called the victim on the victim’s cell phone and said he was at a neighbor’s house. Deputies went to that residence where they found Price and took him into custody.
Deputies located and recovered the victim’s stolen property, which was in Price’s possession. After working with Catawba County Detectives, other property was recovered from larcenies there.
After his arrest, Price was placed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility under a $20,000 secured bond. He was scheduled to appear in Superior Court last Friday (July 25) in Newton.
The investigation is ongoing and further charges are expected.
