The Catawba County Schools Board of Education will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday (June 23) at the Center for Administrative Services on North Anderson Avenue in Newton.
A public hearing will be led by Crystal Davis and the superintendent’s report will be presented by Dr. Dan Brigman.
The Board will consider approval of the career & technical education budget for 2014-2015. They’ll receive an update on the “Read to Achieve” program from Beth Isenhour.
The Board will consider approval of 2014-2015 Federal Programs under Title I, II & III. They’ll also consider an interim budget, presented by Karla Miller.
Also on the agenda are the approval of Dr. Brigman’s appointment to the CVCC Board of Trustees; an update on the Before & After School programs; and the approval of revisions to the school district’s policy regarding the use of facilities.
The Board will consider the approval of re-roofing bids for Sherrills Ford Elementary School and domestic water replacement at River Bend Middle School, as well as the approval of a paving project at St. Stephens High School.
A period for public comments will be led by Crystal Davis and a closed session will be held for personnel items not on the consent agenda.
