27-year-old Gary Terail Thompson and 25-year-old Tierra Denai Harbison, both of 17th Street S.W. in Hickory, were arrested just before 11 o’clock last night on one felony count each of possession of a stolen motor vehicle. Thompson was also charged with failure to appear for felony possession of cocaine.
They were implicated in an incident in which a 2004 Ford Expedition was stolen from Randy Marion Sav-A-Lot. Staff left the keys in the vehicle after moving it while grass on the property was mowed. The suspects were located when a resident called and reported a vehicle parked in her driveway while the suspects went to get gas.
Both suspects were placed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility with bond for Thompson set at $16,660, secured, while Harbison was given a $7,000 secured bond. They were both scheduled to appear in District Court on June 23.
