30-year-old Chasrick Donta Pearson was arrested last Friday (June 6) by Officers with the Burke County Narcotics Task Force and charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and misdemeanor possession of marijuana up to half an ounce.
Pearson was arrested after Narcotics Officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Piney Road in Morganton following a lengthy investigation into the use, sale and distribution of narcotics from the residence. Officers initially detained five individuals who were found outside and one individual who was inside the residence.
The residence was then searched, leading to the discovery of crack cocaine, cocaine, marijuana, oxycodone, drug paraphernalia, firearms and U.S. currency.
Pearson was charged and placed in the Burke-Catawba District Confinement Facility under a $5,000 secured bond. He will next appear in District Court on June 30 in Morganton.
