67-year-old Larry Terry Rudisill of Brookfield Drive in Statesville has been arrested on 17 felony warrants: eight for indecent liberties with a child, eight for disseminating obscenity to a minor under 13 years of age and one count of first-degree sex offense.
Events leading to his arrest began on May 1 when a victim and the victim’s family filed a report with the Iredell Co. Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit regarding a sexual assault that allegedly occurred in 2007. The investigation was assigned to Detective Sergeant Amy Dyson.
On May 7, the victim was interviewed at the Dove House Child Advocacy Center. The victim described the sexual assault. The victim and another child were reportedly asked by the suspect to watch pornography together on several occasions.
Detective Sergeant Dyson located the second victim, who was also interviewed. The second victim described how the suspect watched pornography with both children on numerous occasions.
Detective Sergeant Dyson located and interviewed the suspect, Larry Rudisill. Warrants were issued and Rudisill was taken into custody on June 4 at his residence without incident.
Rudisill was placed in the Iredell Co. Detention Center where he was held under a $1 million secured bond. He was scheduled to make a first appearance in District Court today (June 5).
