75 defendants were convicted of felony offenses and sentenced during Criminal Superior Court held last week in Burke, Caldwell and Catawba counties. Among them are:
38-year-old Dennis Wayne Corley of Hiddenite was convicted of first-degree sex offense with a child (two counts) and was sentenced to no less than 300 months and no more than 420 months in the Division of Adult Correction.
34-year-old Thomas Eugene Ikard of Newton was convicted of possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver cocaine, the sale of cocaine, conspiracy to sell cocaine, habitual misdemeanor assault, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting, delaying or obstructing a public officer (two counts). He was also convicted as an habitual felon. Ikard was sentenced to no less than 87 months and no more than 117 months.
26-year-old Jonathan Deante Parrish of Lenoir was convicted for the manufacture, sale or delivery of cocaine or possession of cocaine within 1000 feet of a school, sale or delivery of a schedule II controlled substance, trafficking in opium or heroin, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and manufacturing cocaine. Parrish was sentenced to no less than 70 months and no more than 93 months.
