26-year-old Andrew Benson Jennings Jr. of Dallas Street and 29-year-old Luis Alberto Rodriguez of Shadow Brook Drive, both from Lenoir, were arrested yesterday (May 1) by Investigators with the Caldwell Co. Sheriff’s Office and the Lenoir Police Department.
Both men were charged with felony breaking & entering and felony larceny, two counts each for Jennings and one count each for Rodriguez. They were also charged with one felony count each for possession of stolen goods and obtaining property by false pretense. In addition, Jennings was charged with felony larceny of a firearm.
The arrests were a result of a joint investigation into numerous break-ins that occurred in Caldwell County and in the City of Lenoir between April 23 and April 29.
Sheriff Alan C. Jones credited interagency cooperation and combined resources in helping to quickly identify and arrest both suspects. During the investigation, Officers were able to recover some of the stolen property.
The investigation is ongoing with additional charges anticipated against both suspects in connection to other break-ins.
Both men were incarcerated in the Caldwell Co. Detention Center with bond for Jennings set at $150,000, secured, while Rodriguez was given a $50,000 secured bond. The two were scheduled to make first appearances in District Court Monday (May 5) in Lenoir.
