The N.C. Department of Transportation will close ramps along U.S. 321 in Gaston County early next week as crews continue making progress on a $7.7 million resurfacing project.
On Monday (April 28), crews will close the ramps at Grier Beam Boulevard at 8 a.m. for milling and paving. On Tuesday, the project will progress to the ramps at N.C. 279. Those ramps will be closed to traffic beginning at 9 a.m.
The U.S. 321 resurfacing project, once completed, will provide a smoother ride for motorists and will help fortify that stretch of heavily traveled road against increased traffic volume. Work on the project began in late February and is slated for completion in July.
